Monday afternoon, we took a trip down to Spotsylvania and picked up some stuff from Tina and Todd’s house.   That they wanted us to take along with us.   Larry and I decided to fill the ice chest up with stuff.   Like pots and pans and other things too.   Then we put them on top of the truck.   We are now thinking about putting the  cots up there and a table as well.   There is plenty of room and it will be ok..

I am now thinking about getting my stuff packed tomorrow.   thinking about what I will need to take along and what I need to leave at home.   Decisions decisions decisions!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, July 12, 2011   Today I worked on packing.   It was a very hot day outside.   I finally got the clothes all folded and put away.   Then worked on packing our clothes.   Got a suit case and had to make decisions on what to bring and not to bring.   And Larry did the same thing.

We got the tent out, the chairs we are taking along, and our cots we will be sleeping in, bathing suits together, towels, and other basic stuff to take with us.   After we got all that stuff together we went to Manassas, Va.    Larry wanted to get a new pair of sandles.   The sandles he bought broke.   So we went to the walmart up there to see if they had any left.  They didn’t so we went to another walmart up there, and low and behold they had a pair of sandles for Larry.   So we bought them took them home.   But when we got home Larry discovered that the sandle was broken, so he went to the other walmart here in Woodbridge, and got a gift card, because they were out of them.

The other reason we went to Manassas is because Larry got a key to a Jeep from a car dealer.  If it fit we would win a Jeep.   Well sorry to say the key didn’t work.   So no new Jeep for us!!!!

July 13, 2011 All packed and ready to go.   We are all loaded up the car is ready!!!!

They got to our daughter Tina’s house around noon.   She stayed and visited Tina and her family until about 3:30 and then she headed up to our house.

They got here around 5 pm.   Then we got ready to go to the baby shower that one of Lisa’s high school friend was having yesterday.

After we got home last night, all three kids took a bath.   Then we had a video conference with their dad.  Soon after the kids and Lisa went to bed.

Tomorrow will be another busy day.

We had a fun time doing this. The photo shoot was for our 40th Anniversary that is coming up in September. And this would be a mother’s day gift for us. After the photo shoot, I recieved a beautiful book about being a grandmother. This will have to be saved for a later date. I will always have that book to keep and to show people this book. It was called Grandma’s Brag book.

On Sunday Morning, Larry made me breakfast. Since we had a committment at our church we had to leave early. After the church service, the children of the church passed out roses to all the mom’s in the church.
After church we came home to a nice quiet house. Our son which works nights was sleeping. I came into the house and found a beautiful card laying on my laptop. I opened it up and read the card, and the nice verse in it. Plus he gave me some money to go with it.
In the afternoon my husband took me out to eat. I was expecting to go to our mexican restaurant that we like to go to all the time. But he surprised me and took me to another restaurant. We had good food and enjoyed that time.

After we got home my other daughter promised to take me out for mother’s day when they come or when we go out there. She even promised me some ice cream. So that is still coming.

I want to say thank you to my family for making my mother’s day a beautiful one.

For my Mother’s Day my daughter TT and I made plans to go to Leesylvania park, on Saturday.   And do a photo shoot.   We had planned on going around 1 pm and be there until around 4 pm because she had some other errands to run after 4 pm.

On Saturday Morning Larry wanted to take me out for breakfast.   So we went to a small mom and pop restaurant.   This was basically on our way to our next event.   Which was Charter Day in PWC.

We got to Merchants Park and their were people dressed up in Colonial day costumes and there was a man that were playing music from wine glasses.   That was amazing how that worked.   He said he was interested in playing these glasses since he was 6 years old.   Here is one of the videos.

Colonial times picnic or Tea Time

This past Friday we first stopped at IHOP for breakfast.   We were there a good 45 minutes to an hour.   Then we headed to Walmart.   I dropped off a perscription  at the pharmacy and they said it would take about an hour to get it filled.   So we walked around Walmart for an hour.   We bought some Groceries and a few other items as well.

When my perscription was ready, we checked out and went to the car.   I have automatic door locks.   but when I tried to open my car it would not unlock.   And so by hand we had to put the groceries in the trunk of my car. I said a little prayer while we were putting the groceries in.  We got into the car, and tried to start it.   But the car was dead.  (Now this has happened to me before and my husband Larry has come to my rescue) Well so I called him, and he said pop the hood of the car and have Levi wiggle the cable wires.  So I said ok.

Well Levi was still in the car yet, and went to reach down to pop the hood, and all of a sudden my car came alive.   The lights the radio, and everything came back on.   So I started the car, and I drove it home.  I was praising God all the way home that my car started.   We got home and I turned the car off, and to see if it would start back up again I tried to turn it back on.   Well guess what, it was dead again.

I know that God was watching over us when this problem with my car .   And putting my faith in Him he helped me out of this situation.

Another story about my car is:

I had gone to do some shopping.   But on my way I stopped to get a taco salad at Taco Bell.  That is my favorite thing to have at Taco Bell.   So I ordered my Salad and sat in the car and ate it.   When I was ready to go, my car was completely dead, so I had to call Larry.

He wanted to know where I was, and I told him at Taco Bell.      I was having lunch at Taco Bell.   He came and fixed my car, but I ended up buying him a burrito at Taco Bell too.

After I was done I went on did my shopping and he went home.

Here is a special prayer for all Mother’s.   And I want to wish each and every Mother out there a Happy Mother’s Day.

Mother\’s Day Prayer

I still have two bathrooms to clean, pick up the living room and vaccum, probably start on that tonight, and just basically get the house looking nice.   Larry cleaned off the deck outside and we are thinking of maybe sitting out there for dinner.   Not sure if we will, for it is suppose to rain, but we have a cover over our deck so if it rains or not, we can enjoy sitting outside.

April 13, 2011.   First of all I want to wish my grandson Caleb a happy birthday.   This is his Golden birthday because he is 13 on April 13th.   Not only that he is a teen ager now.   Wow.   My grandkids are growing up into young ladies and young men!!!!   So Caleb I hope your teenage years will go great.  And I hope you don’t give your mom and dad any trouble.   So here is some advise.  Listen to them, don’t talk back or argue with them, and stay out of trouble.   Just remember school, and going to college is more important at this time.  Stay away from drugs, you can see from other people what they can do and it affects.  And lastly I love you, and very proud of you.

Now for the next thing with getting ready for company.  Today I finished up the laundry, cleaned two bathrooms, set up my sons room for him to sleep in while they are here.   And cleaned the living room.   So all I have to do  is work on the bedroom that levi is staying in, and make the bed.

During all of this some how I have hurt my back and having a hard time walking.   I hope the pain will go away, for I have taken some tylenol.  But I guess with heat and a little rest I hope it will be ok.

A couple of days ago, I mopped my kitchen floor, and I had this bottle of 409 which I love very much for cleaning.   So I used it.  But it did not smell like 409, and realized that this stuff was the orange all purpose cleaner that we bought in Lumberton, NC on our last visit with our daughter.   We bought it at a store called Roses.  It didn’t cost much.   But this stuff worked so good.  It took stuff off the floor that I could not get off with any other cleaner.   I even tried it on my dirty sliding glass window.   And just a little bit took off the dirt.   I thought I was running out of it, so yesterday I went to the dollar store to see if I could find this orange stuff.   I did find it and bought three bottles of it.   So when I got home, I cleaned one half of my sliding glass door with it.   Wow it did a great job.   After I cleaned it, I used a bottle of window cleaner as well.  like windex.   That made it even better.

Last night we got another phone call from our brother in law richard.   With more details.   They said that their plane arrives at Noon on Thursday.   So we will be picking them up around noon or so.   And they will be coming with a choir.   Which they will be singing at Arlington National Cemetary, and also at the World War II memorial.   Not sure when this will happen.

This past week,, I have worked on getting my house cleaned up for our company.  Making plans and thinking about sleeping arrangements.

We always enjoy the company and welcome them when they come and visit.  So Mr Carpenter and I are very excited to have out of town company.   So stay tune on our adventure this week.  and I will be posting pictures as well.

It was almost two weeks that I did not have my computer, and I sure was missing it.   Mr Carpenter would let me use his very briefly but I had to get off very quickly.

One day I was working in the house and the FedX drove up to the house and dropped off a package.   So Mr carpenter went down and got the package from the man.

We opened it up, and before I sent my computer in, I took the battery out.   I did get a new battery.  I have not tried the old battery to see if it works but I will see sometime soon.

I am glad to have my computer back, and be back on, and talk to my friends on Facebook once again.
